DiDi Finance is the financial services division of Chinese mobility giant DiDi, operating in Mexico since 2021. The company provides a comprehensive suite of digital financial products targeting financial inclusion through its mobile platform. Its core offering is DiDi Loans, a revolving credit service that has issued over 20 million loans in Mexico as of August 2025, with credit lines up to MX$46,800 for select users. The loan application process is fully digital, takes approximately 10 minutes, and can be completed via mobile phone. DiDi Finance also offers the DiDi Card, a Mastercard-backed credit card with no annual fees and cashback rewards, and DiDi Paga Después, a buy-now-pay-later service. In June 2024, DiDi Mexico acquired JP Sofiexpress, a SOFIPO (Sociedad Financiera Popular) regulated by Mexico's National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), enabling the company to expand into savings products. Through this acquisition, DiDi launched DiDi Cuenta in 2025, a digital savings account offering a 15% annual yield with 24/7 fund access and no lock-in periods, backed by CNBV-regulated JP Sofiexpress. The platform targets the general Mexican population seeking accessible credit and savings options, positioning itself as a financial inclusion tool. DiDi Finance reports more than 10 million users of its credit products and continues expanding its ecosystem beyond its original driver and courier base to serve the broader Mexican market.
