Gestionix was a Mexican fintech company founded in 2012 by David Terán and Salvador Terán that developed cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial management software specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their accountants. The platform offered comprehensive business administration tools including electronic invoicing compliant with SAT (Mexican tax authority) standards, inventory control, point of sale systems, accounts payable and receivable management, electronic payroll, and cloud-based accounting. The company targeted the approximately 98% of Mexican businesses categorized as SMEs, addressing a market segment that traditionally lacked access to sophisticated business management tools. Gestionix featured artificial intelligence functionalities and was designed to integrate the supply chains of customers and suppliers while facilitating accountants in serving multiple SME clients efficiently. The company raised approximately $512,000 in early funding from investors including On Ventures and G2 Momentum Capital. In December 2020, lending-focused fintech Konfío acquired Gestionix to expand its digital services for SMEs. However, after three years of operation under Konfío ownership, the parent company announced in September 2023 that Gestionix would cease operations on October 30, 2023, to refocus resources on core financial services and lending products. The closure reflected Konfío's strategic decision to concentrate on its primary business of providing loans and payment solutions rather than ERP software. Following the shutdown, Gestionix's former user base was directed to alternative platforms such as Contalink. The original gestionix.mx domain now redirects to an unrelated solar energy interconnection services company, indicating the complete discontinuation of the fintech operations.
