Yomp is a technology subsidiary of Arca Continental, one of Latin America's largest Coca-Cola bottlers, focused on modernizing and empowering traditional corner stores (tienditas) in Mexico. Founded approximately 11 years ago as Brío, the company provides technological and retail solutions designed to help small neighborhood stores compete in an increasingly digital marketplace. Yomp operates in 14 Mexican cities including Monterrey, Guadalajara, San Luis Potosí, Saltillo, Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, Mexicali, Ciudad Juárez, Torreón, Durango, Obregón, and Culiacán. The platform's core offerings include payment acceptance infrastructure that enables corner stores to accept card payments, provide mobile airtime top-ups and data recharges, facilitate bill payments for utilities, and process service payments. Through its various service tiers including Yomp Express, Yomp Mobile, and Yomp Premium, the company helps store owners improve inventory management, scale their purchasing power, increase customer traffic, and boost sales efficiency. Yomp partnered with Swiss fintech Sonect to enable corner stores to function as virtual ATMs. As of 2020, the platform had reached 8,700 clients within the traditional retail channel. Arca Continental has announced plans to expand Yomp's financial services offerings, with the company working to integrate a broader suite of financial products into its ecosystem. The platform represents a strategic initiative by Arca Continental to digitally transform the traditional retail channel, which generates an estimated 40-50 percent of the beverage company's sales in Mexico.
